1. How does it work?
ANSWER - For pierced earrings just attach the back leaving a small space on the earring post. Place the back through the keyhole and let earring slide down into the slot. It's that easy!
2. How many pairs does the Earring Angel actually hold?
ANSWER - That depends on what you have if all of your earrings measure 2" long or less and 1" wide or less at least the capacity listed in the item will easily fit.
If all of the earrings are extra large 2" to 6" or more in length or 1.5" to 3" or more in width you will need more than one Earring Angel to hold the capacity listed so they do not overlap. Most earring customers have a variety of types and sizes of earrings, and I invented the Earring Angel sensitive to those needs. If you think you need a larger Earring Angel because you have so many pairs, take inventory, and then purchase as many Earring Angels as you need.
3. How do I organize my earrings using this system?
ANSWER - Basically it is best to put your longest earrings on the bottom, your medium ones by size and the smallest to fill in where the larger ones might otherwise over lap.
-Use any keyhole for small to average sized Post or Stud Earrings, Chandelier Posts w/Bullet, Posts w/Flanged Bullet, Posts w/Clasp, Dangle French Wires, Beaded French Hook Earrings, Nose Studs w/screw backs and Barbells as well as clip on earrings with Triangle Clips, Slim or Screw Back Clips, just leave earring closed and put into hole and let slide down into slot. For screw backs you may need to unscrew slightly for screw shaft to slide down into slot. Some screw shaft earrings are too wide to fit down into the keyhole slot, but they usually can hang by the screw head.
-Use the bottom row of keyholes for your longest Post Chandelier Earrings, C-Hoops w/Bullet, Gypsy Wire Hoops, Post w/Hinged Clasp Earrings, Ear Clips with chains, Horseshoe Hoop, Belly (Navel) Dangle Body Jewelry, Triangle, Slim or Screw Back Clip Earrings.
-Use bottom row of round holes for your longest French Hook Shoulder Dusters, Dangle, Beaded, Chandelier, Wire Circle Hoop and Omega Backs (Hinged Clasp) Earrings. Body jewelry like many different types of Horseshoes, Circulars, Brow Rings, Nose Rings and Lip Rings as well as Old Fashion Wide Clip Earrings can be clipped to the bottom row of round holes.
Have fun and arrange them as you like these are only suggestions.
4. Are the wall mount organizers easy to install?
ANSWER - Absolutely Yes!
To attach on a wall: Level & mark for mounting, be sure that the single row of round holes are on the bottom. Using wall screws or anchor screws (included) just drive screws through screw holes. Tighten screws until they feel secure BUT DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN because that will loosen the screws grip. If attaching to another surface use your own good judgment and use smaller screws and/or pre-drill if necessary.
If using your own heavy duty double sided foam tape or Command Adhesive Strips (not included) you can also attach it to a mirror or any smooth surface. Follow their directions carefully and only use only new-fresh-non-yellowed 3M or Scotch. Do not install on wall papered walls.
For Lexan Earring Angels - Use 1/2" Heavy Duty Foam Tape on all surfaces that touch the wall or 4 Medium Command Strips.
For Steel Slim Earring Angels - Use 1" Heavy Duty Foam Tapeon all surfaces that touch the wall or 4 Large Command Strips.
For Accessory Angels - Use 1" Heavy Duty Foam Tape on all surfaces that touch the wall. Because of weight I would not recommend the Command Strips.
Note: Lexan Earring Angels only: For travel you can use the two attachable feet (included) just clip to the bottom of the right and left sides to set on a table top or shelf.
5. Do you have suggestions on where I should install any of the wall mounted organizers?
ANSWER - Yes, several.
-On a wall in your bedroom or bathroom.
-Inside of your dressing room wardrobe, armoire or closet.
-On a mirror near or in your dressing room or vanity area.
-Inside of a cabinet or on a cabinet door.
-On a wall behind a closet or bedroom door or on the door itself.
-For the Lexan Acrylic Earring Angels you can use the attachable feet you can set it on a dresser, vanity or shelf.
-Many students who live in dorm rooms have even installed them on their bunk bed foot boards, because they had no wall space available. Use your imagination!
Note: Do not install over or near any plumbing drains. If you drop an earring, going fishing won't be any fun.
